Business Activity at Moulin des Sablons

About Moulin des Sablons

Moulin des Sablons has a rich history. Originally it was a grain mill and sawmill, in later years it became a riding school with a bar and restaurant.

In recent decades, the Moulin has been a small-scale farm where Joke and Ger grow various vegetables with respect for nature. In addition, the Moulin provides shelter for horses and donkeys, and hay is made from the surrounding meadows.

You are welcome at our farm and feel free to come and see how the vegetables are grown.

On our farm we grow a variety of vegetables with respect for nature, which means without pesticides and fungicides. The vegetables are sold directly to consumers in the surrounding area and to bakers, restaurants, shops and market traders in the region. We also regularly stand at Sunday markets in the area, where our summer-sweet strawberries find eager buyers.

Hay in large and small bales

Around the farm and in the village we mow grassland. After it has dried, we press it into large packages and bales. Especially for local residents with hobby animals, we also press a number of small hay bales. And of course we keep hay ourselves for our horses and donkeys during the winter months.

In the surrounding meadows, horses and donkeys regularly stay for longer or shorter periods. They literally and figuratively have plenty of space to graze in a natural environment. We also welcome several camping guests each season who bring their own horse for rides through the wooded surroundings.
